Oil spill response
IADYS has Oil Spill Response skills and is able to quickly intervene in France & Europe
Oil spill response
IADYS is able to intervene quickly in case of oil pollution in hard-to-reach areas where the safety of the staff is mandatory. With its innovative robotic solutions, the Jellyfishbot and the Mobile Oil Skimmer, IADYS manages all the process of cleanup.
Examples of IADYS Oil Spill Response interventions
Oil spill response in a river port
IADYS has intervened in the river port of Digoin, in the Center of France, after the fire of several barges. In this intervention it was necessary to follow a protocol for the depollution and thanks to IADYS innovative and complementary systems, the team managed to restore the beauty of this peaceful site.
Jellyfishbot and disposable nets for removing the residues of the fire and the floating waste.
Mobile Oil Skimmer (MOS) for skimming the floating oil.

- Booms deployed and towed by Jellyfishbots for absorbing and containing the pollution
- Absorbent spaghettis and leaves setting up for completions
Clean-up intervention in a former submarine base
IADYS has intervened in a former submarine base for collecting resin residues in bassins.
- Autonomous Jellyfishbot with absorbent spaghettis for colleciting the residues
- Booms deployed and towed by Jellyfishbots for absorbing and containing the pollution

Harbo boom
15 m / 49.2 ft
The Jellyfishbot can be combined with the HARBO Ultra-rapid boom. Its express deployment fits perfectly with the Jellyfishbot’s modularity and quick launch to allow operators to respond as quickly as possible to oil pollution.
Absorbent booms
3 m / 9.8 ft (30-80 L / 8-21 gal)
The Jellyfishbot is able to tow a 3 m boom alone via a towing system, in order to absorb pollution over a larger area.
Leaves
> 1 L / 33 fl oz per leaf
Ideal for treating light iridescence or providing the finishing touches to a cleanup, the polypropylene sheets are attached to the back of the Jellyfishbot, on its frame, individually or as a strip to be deployed over a large area.
Spaghetti
30 L / 8 gal per net
These water-repellent poly-propylene filaments absorb greasy iridescence in a disposable net towed by the Jellyfishbot. Ideal for cleaning up tight, hard-to-reach areas, the net filled with soiled spaghetti is easily detached from the robot to be discarded with the absorbed pollutant.
Absorbent booms
6 m / 19.7 ft (60-165 L / 16-44 gal)
Combined with two robots, 6 or 12 m (19.7 – 39 ft) absorbent booms can be deployed to concentrate and confine an iridescent area to facilitate pollutant recovery.
Anti-pollution trawl
100 L / 26.4 gal
The trawl allows the collection of waste of larger sizes (soiled plants for example) or oil over a large area. It can be towed by a single Jellyfishbot, or ideally by two robots, allowing to adjust the size of the trawl opening.
